Ellen, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's and Emmie's hleath issues that you had to expereince on top of the heartbreak of your grandmother. You've had such a rough week, but I'm glad to hear that someone did something kind to cheer you up. It is amazing how sometimes strangers come along at the most unexpected time to make a difference in our lives. I am very lucky because it seems to happen to me quite a bit. This week I decided to just pay it forward. I was in the copy store at the beginning of the week. I was there to pick up a big copy job and, as usual, I was pressed for time and wanted to get out as soon as possible. There was an elderly lady in front of me who, from the aggravation apparent on the face of the clerk, had been there a while. She was trying to pick out cardstock and colors on some invitations she was having made. She just couldn't decide, so I offered to help and had a long conversation with her about the event. It was something very special and she wanted everything to be perfect. Although the clerk became even more irritated when I jumped in, I just ignored him and helped her make her selections. She was happy and I thanked him for being so patient. It was a good day. (Ultimately, I got my copies and the world did not end because I spent more time in the copy store than I had planned. Lesson learned.)Take care, Cindy http://qbqjrlglcri.com nhibob [link=http://yebyud.com]yebyud[/link]

It is inspiring and chalienglng to read your very real stories of encounters with people as you spend the day with Jesus. It makes me feel not so alone in the daunting mission of reaching out in my neighborhood. Our neighborhood is considered by some as the ghetto of Durham, NC. We regularly hear gunshots, oftentimes not far from our apartment, and there is some kind of intimidating spirit that makes me want to stay off the streets, hole up, and lock my doors.Walking on our street, there is always some sort of personal encounter drug dealers staring at your from their porch with a threatening look, young people roaming and looking like they're up to no good, or some lonely older woman sitting on her porch in a cookie cutter' government subsidized duplex, who greets you with refreshing warmth.Today someone from Greater Emmanuel Temple of Grace approached us and timidly, almost apologetically, invited us to his church and handed us a business card. He mentioned their prayer ministry among other ministries, and I immediately asked him to pray for us. I was feeling somewhat desperate and alone in some struggles.Surprised, he looked around for one of his church teammates to help him out, as if he was in over his head. But then he stepped up to the plate, took our hands, and prayed for us. We were blessed by his reaching out to us. We want to be a blessing too. http://zwybiysbiwk.com zulgyld [link=http://wmaypq.com]wmaypq[/link]

I knew and worked with John Royston, as a meebmr of Play Troupe of Port Washington, from 1980 to 1992. He was all that you said and more. I enjoyed working as his stage manager and set painter for the shows he directed. He was always the consummate gentleman. His wife, and their two boys were also kind, interesting people. I also am sorry to hear of his passing. Although I had not been in contact with him or his family since I left the area in 1992, it is sad to to know that he is gone. I stumbled across your writing while trying to find out what ever became of Play Troupe. I was sorry that that too, no longer exists.
