Obituary of Joseph (Joey) Eugene Rommell V

 Joseph Eugene (Joey) Rommell V,72, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday October 16  Muncie, Indiana.


Joseph was born in Trenton,New Jersey to Joseph E. Rommell IV and Edith Abbott Rommell on October 13, 1946. He attended Steinert High School and graduated in 1964. Joey worked as a Boat Captain on The Water Research Vessel James J. Howard for The New Jersey Department Of Environmental Protection for approximately 15 years

In his leisure time he enjoyed skiing, fishing, boating, diving, motorcycle riding, hunting, and gun collecting.

Joey Proudly served in the United States Navy after finishing high school.

He is precedeceased by his parents Edith and Joseph E Rommell V and his son Michael Rommel

Joseph Leaves behind to cherish his memory and  is survived by his long-term girlfriend, Cindy Hisle of Muncie; his children Sherri and her husband Jess Robbins of Hamilton, NJ, Joseph E Rommell VI and his wife Jariya of Saucier, MS, and Randy Rommell and his wife Taryn of Hamilton, NJ; his grandchildren Samantha Robbins, Joseph E. Rommell VII, Jasmine Rommell, MiKayla Rommell, and Charlee Rommell.   

A Celebration of Joey's Life will be held at  Franklin H Rainear, Jr. Affordable Funeral Service & Cremation, 1310 Prospect Street Ewing, New Jersey on Tuesday, October 23 at 11:00 am with Pastor Michael Droege officiating.

The Gathering of Family and Friends for a Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 23,  from 9:30am – 11:00am

Following a Service at The Funeral Home a Burial with Military Honors will follow in The Family Plot at Greenwood Cemetery,1800 Hamilton Ave. Hamilton, New Jersey where Joey will be carefully placed to rest.
