Obituary of Theresa C Bottini

Theresa Camille Bottini, of Hamilton, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 3, 2018 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by loving family and friends at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. She was 56 years young.

Born and raised in Westwood, NJ to the late Francis Anthony and Celia (Aufiero) Bottini, she was one of five children. Theresa was an intelligent and motivated woman. She received her AS in Applied Science and Mortuary Certificate from Mercer County Community College, BA in Biology and Environmental Science from Ramapo College, and her MA in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She made a successful career for herself working for the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection for over 33 years. While working for the State full time, she worked part-time as a Licensed Funeral Director.

When not busy at work or tinkering around the house, she loved to travel; go to concerts, movies, and plays; rescue animals; and truly enjoy life. Above all else, she cherished spending time with her daughter Francesca, who was her pride and joy.

Her beautiful smile, infectious energy, and pure honesty will be missed by all. Though she was taken too soon from this life, Theresa has left a mark of knowledge and true friendship that will continue to live on in the hearts of the many people that she touched. We are grateful for knowing her, and we are better people for having her in our lives.

Left to keep her legacy of hard work and unconditional love alive are her beloved daughter, Francesca Celia Bottini; Francesca’s father and Theresa’s lifelong friend, Richard Carlson; her adored sister, Maryanne Bottini Eberle and her husband Harry; and siblings, Peter, Frank, and Claire; her treasured dogs, Sugar, Harley, and Roxie; and many nieces, nephews, and close lifelong friends.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Saint Mark United Methodist Church, 465 Paxson Ave, Trenton, NJ 08690, from 9:00 – 11:00 am with Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 am.
