Obituary of Fred Matthews

Frederick H. Matthews EWING Frederick H. Matthews, 61, of Ewing passed away at his home on Dec. 10, 2016. He was born in Ewing on Feb. 25, 1955, to parents Emma and Herbert Matthews. Fred graduated from Ewing High School. He was a self-employed plumber and man of many trades and talents. Fred loved spending time with his family and friends, playing softball, singing and dancing to his favorite music. Fred is survived by his children, Evan W. Matthews and Kaitlyn R. Matthews; his sister, Joan L. Jones; several nephews, nieces, cousins, his girlfriend and her family, and many friends. His life we honored and remembered at a private memorial service held at the family cemetery where Fred was laid to rest surrounded by loved ones, those with us and those passed. Until we meet again.
